Tabari may Allah have mercy upon him narrates via his chains of narration to the authority of Wahb bin Manbah, the following: (I didn’t copy the full story narrated, but here is a hint you will need, the story narrated starts with; Joseph the carpenter being friends with (or co-working with) Maryam, and ends with the flee to Egypt then picks up at Mary Magdalene. I need you to understand this point to understand what is to come.
The section of the story states: “On that night people went to go and see this event, since they saw a star in the sky that was not familiar to them. and they were told before about the signs of the birth of the messiah in the book of Daniel. They set out for the child, taking gold, myrrh & frankincense. They passed by a king from Levant. He asked them of their destination. They told him their story. He said why did you pick those items as gifts. They went on to mention how valuable they are. Then the king thought about killing this baby. He told them when you find him let me know on your way back so I can send gifts too. So they went to Maryam and gave her gifts. On their way back an Angel appeared and said Don’t go to the king he wants to kill the child. so they took another route home”

Analyzing what was attributed to Mathew
Here we are covering the story of the supposed visitors of Isa the Son of Maryam. I mentioned above that the Gospel of Mathew was anonymously written, we have no clue who wrote it. What we do know is that it was written between 70 & 85 AD, close to or around Palestine. I will copy & paste the story of the visitors from several English & Arabic copies of the Bible. Please note: that I personally do not view any language capable to deliver the exact meaning of the old Hebrew or Aramaic languages, but it is the only copies we use today and verification or association to claims that are publicly stated. The of Mathew is the only book to mention the story.
2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
2 Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 When Herod the king had heard these things, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And when he had gathered all the chief priests and scribes of the people together, he demanded of them where Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written by the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, in the land of Juda, art not the least among the princes of Juda: for out of thee shall come a Governor, that shall rule my people Israel.
7 Then Herod, when he had privily called the wise men, enquired of them diligently what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search diligently for the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word again, that I may come and worship him also.
9 When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And when they were come into the house, they saw the young child with Mary his mother, and fell down, and worshipped him: and when they had opened their treasures, they presented unto him gifts; gold, and frankincense and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
The King James Version (KJV), commonly known as the Authorized Version (AV) or King James Bible (KJB), is an English translation of the Christian Bible for the Church of England begun in 1604 and completed in 1611.
2 After Yeshua was born in Beit-Lechem in the land of Y’hudah during the time when Herod was king, Magi from the east came to Yerushalayim 2 and asked, “Where is the newborn King of the Jews? For we saw his star in the east and have come to worship him.”
3 When King Herod heard of this he became very agitated, and so did everyone else in Yerushalayim.4 He called together all the head cohanim and Torah-teachers of the people and asked them, “Where will the Messiah be born?” 5 “In Beit-Lechem of Y’hudah,” they replied, “because the prophet wrote,
6 ‘And you, Beit-Lechem in the land of Y’hudah,
are by no means the least among the rulers of Y’hudah;
for from you will come a Ruler
who will shepherd my people Isra’el.’”
7 Herod summoned the Magi to meet with him privately and asked them exactly when the star had appeared. 8 Then he sent them to Beit-Lechem with these instructions: “Search carefully for the child; and when you find him, let me know, so that I too may go and worship him.”
9 After they had listened to the king, they went away; and the star which they had seen in the east went in front of them until it came and stopped over the place where the child was. 10 When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. 11 Upon entering the house, they saw the child with his mother Miryam; and they prostrated themselves and worshipped him. Then they opened their bags and presented him gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. 12 But they had been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, so they took another route back to their own country.
2 Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, Wise-men from the east came to Jerusalem, saying,
2 Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we saw his star in the east, and are come to worship him.
3 And when Herod the king heard it, he was troubled, and all Jerusalem with him.
4 And gathering together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Christ should be born.
5 And they said unto him, In Bethlehem of Judaea: for thus it is written through the prophet,
6 And thou Bethlehem, land of Judah, Art in no wise least among the princes of Judah: For out of thee shall come forth a governor, Who shall be shepherd of my people Israel.
7 Then Herod privily called the Wise-men, and learned of them exactly what time the star appeared.
8 And he sent them to Bethlehem, and said, Go and search out exactly concerning the young child; and when ye have found him, bring me word, that I also may come and worship him.
9 And they, having heard the king, went their way; and lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 And when they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And they came into the house and saw the young child with Mary his mother; and they fell down and worshipped him; and opening their treasures they offered unto him gifts, gold and frankincense and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream that they should not return to Herod, they departed into their own country another way.
I conclusion it is safe to say that wahb is narrating the book of Mathew thus giving no Islamic value to the statements in Mathew.
The Author of the Gospel of Mathew is unknown.
The Paganisim of Christmas stands firm.

Mathew: In the time of King Herod, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem, asking, “Where is the child who has been born king of the Jews? For we observed his star at its rising, and have come to pay him homage.” When King Herod heard this, he was frightened and all Jerusalem with him; and calling together all the chief priests and scribes of the people, he inquired of them where the Messiah was to be born. They told him, “In Bethlehem of Judea; for so it has been written by the prophet: ‘And you, Bethlehem, in the land of Judah, are by no means least among the rulers of Judah; for from you shall come a ruler who is to shepherd my people Israel.'” Then Herod secretly called for the wise men and learned from them the exact time when the star had appeared. Then he sent them to Bethlehem, saying, “Go and search diligently for the child; and when you have found him, bring me word so that I may also go and pay him homage.” When they had heard the king, they set out; and there, ahead of them, went the star that they had seen at its rising, until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy. On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother; and they knelt down and paid him homage. Then, opening their treasure chests, they offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. And having been warned in a dream not to return to Herod, they left for their own country by another path.
There is so much to cover, but Ill be brief: 1. Even Mathew didn’t say 3 men. 2. Are they Kings, Wisemen or Magi?. 3. It says in a house they came some say barn, which one is it?. 4. If Maryam was already back in town, then they didn’t need a star they probably heard that a baby spoke. 5. A baby spoke down town, The king is finding out from strangers?! Really? That must be a joke. 6. In addition, the Gospel of Mathew was never written by Mathew, The later additions added the title “according to Mathew”, but original manuscripts have nothing to support that claim. 7. The known stories of Mathew are Identical to the one and only Levi of Alphaeus the tax collector. 8. Christian Scholars have agree that the author of the Gospel of Mathew is anonymous, but very Jewish like. 9. So yes, We should not accept nor reject what is claimed and don’t not agree nor disagree with what we have, but doesn’t have to be accepted with the people of the book?! Its not. Facts prove otherwise thus it must be rejected, since it was never part of it in the first place. I’m pretty sure 1000s of people came to see the newborn talk.
It is clear that Wahb is only narrating what he must have read in the Gospel of Mathew.
